The Master Herbalist Program consists of a thesis with a minimum of 10,000 words or more.

Prerequisite:
Verification of successful completion of the Chartered Herbalist Diploma Course or other acceptable Diploma .

Topic:
The graduate may pick any aspect of Herbalism that is of particular interest to the student.

Content:
When the graduate has decided what the topic will be they should submit a proposal with an outline of their thesis, which describes the herbal and physiological application to their topic. An outline in point form with a brief description is required. This outline to be forwarded with the "Student Enrolment Agreement & Contract". Upon approval of the thesis outline the student may continue with the thesis.

Research:
A minimum of 6 months research is required unless the graduate can provide proof of previous research work with his or her topic or actual clinical practice. The thesis should be completed within a year.

The completed thesis must be typewritten and double-spaced. Footnotes and Bibliography must be included.
